In philanthropy, donors do not always have the chance to see the impact of their generosity in action. On January 23rd, Mr. Anthony Taddeo, President of Volvo Laval and his wife, Mrs. Lucia Taddeo, had the privilege of meeting little Léo and his mother, Joanie, who directly benefitted from their donation to the Cité de la Santé Foundation.
“We welcomed our twins here at the Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital 22 years ago! It was natural for us to get involved and give back to this community that works beautiful little miracles every day, accompanying parents in the birth of their child. That is why we created the Lucia and Anthony Taddeo Fund and the Les Anges de la Cité program.”
– Anthony Taddeo, President of Volvo Laval.
“Mr. and Mrs. Taddeo are part of the Cité de la Santé Foundation extended family and we are happy to have them on our side. Through their significant contributions, they support the remarkable work accomplished by the CISSS de Laval teams.”

Since November 24, 2019, Pronox (laughing gas) has been one of the pain relief methods offered to women giving birth at the Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital. This technique offers an alternative to epidural anesthesia, alleviates labour-related pain and tends to reduce its duration. For the 4,000 or so mothers who give birth each year at the hospital, this is a great step forward. The Cité de la Santé Foundation and the CISSS de Laval warmly thank the Taddeo family and all the donors who generously contribute to the Continuum mère-enfant.
